j.j. bos b.v. is a technical consulting and trading company for high-quality technical products and represents a number of foreign factories. The focus is on the sale of scientific laboratory instruments and testing systems for the determination of mechanical properties of materials and structures. The organization focuses mainly on five technologies in which it is active and has tailored its product program to them, namely:
- Aerosol, Particles and Flow analysis
- Electron microscopy
- Material testing
- Vibration and Environmental Technology
- Strain measurement & Sensors
The organization aims to be a customer-oriented trading company, where product advice to and service to the customer are central. The customer is efficiently served with a high-quality product or service. The delivered systems can be maintained and repaired by our own service organisation.
j.j. bos b.v. represents products within the above mentioned technologies of manufacturers from countries like England, Germany, China and U.S.A. These manufacturers and j.j. bos b.v. have entered into a representation agreement for an indefinite period of time. Herewith the representation of their products for the Benelux countries is contractually defined and the customer is assured of support of the product in the country of purchase. j.j. bos b.v. also represents the interests of its customers with the (contractual) suppliers. By optimal application of these products j.j. bos b.v. tries to offer solutions and advice for possible test, analysis or measurement problems of its end users. The products of the suppliers are mainly used in:

j.j. bos b.v. was founded in 1965 and operates from its own office in Gouda, the Netherlands. Short history:
j.j. bos b.v. was founded in 1965 by Ir. Jan-Jaap Bos. The first products supplied by the bos company were:
- Electro-dynamic vibrators from Derritron Electronics Ltd.
- Servo-hydraulic test systems from Research Inc. – MTS div.
In 1974 j.j. bos b.v. was incorporated into the Enraf Nonius group and in 1991 the company became independent from the Delft Instruments group. Since 1999 it is located in Gouda.
